POSITION DESCRIPTION


Job Position: Senior Account Executive - Construction Unit

Position Reports
Directly to:, Vice President

Overview/Duties: Duties consist of the servicing, retention, maintenance and overall management of construction related industry accounts. This position entails the following duties:

1. Daily client contact to assist with their inquiries and needs
2. Take the lead as respects, troubleshooting, coverage questions, endorsements, audits & renewal negotiations
3. Perform risk analysis, policy reviews and issue resolution
4. Tailor insurance programs to the risks presented by each individual client
5. Visit with producers and/or clients to perform periodic insurance analysis, gather renewal information, preparation of applications and present renewal proposals
6. Strong marketing skills and extensive knowledge of underwriters, wholesalers and programs that relate to construction focused accounts
7. Assist the New Business Marketing team on an as needed basis
8. Act as a claims liaison for clients as needed
9. Act as an accounting liaison for clients and get involved with accounting issues as needed
10. Attend periodic training sessions and seminars as they present
11. Guide, mentor and provide oversight to your Assistant.
12. Get involved in special projects as they may arise
13. Provide assistance to any member of the office team on an as needed basis
14. Present yourself in a well groomed and professional manner, both inside and outside of the office

Minimum Position
Qualifications:

Minimum 10 years of experience at a Property & Casualty brokerage/agency/insurance company, of which, 3 to 5 years must be spent dealing with contractors &/or construction related projects
Valid NYS P&C Insurance License
Detail oriented and diligent in completing tasks with the ability to multi task on various projects
Familiarity with most lines of coverage with expert level knowledge of some of those specific lines of coverage specifically required for the type of accounts the AE will be handling. Strong knowledge of the ISO CGL form including the various Additional Insured Endorsements and Exclusions

Knowledge of Applied Systems/TAM is a plus
Excellent computer skills with knowledge of various carrier's online computer systems
Consistent track record of pursuing continuing education courses
Self motivated
Strong communication skills both verbal and written
Must have the ability to visit clients unaccompanied



Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
